Opening January 29th and running thru February 28th in the mall’s 2500 sq. ft. art gallery, the show and sale will feature a rare and beautiful collection of over 30 original Czech Cubist paintings. Brought directly from the Czech Republic (formerly Czechoslovakia) from the private collection of their original owner, none of these pieces has ever been offered on the market before. You may never see such a large and important assemblage of this coveted period in art again (most of it was destroyed by the Nazi’s during WWII). The show will feature works by world-class artists including Emil Filla, Frantisek Kupka, Zdenek Rykr, Antonin Pelc, and Jaroslav Kafka among others (Google some of those names and prepare to be impressed). All works will be available for sale however the management will ask that buyers leave the pieces on display for the duration of the show in order to let as many people as possible view the collection in its entirety.
